Ingredients

6 medium pears
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
½ cup red wine
6 scoops vanilla ice cream
6 teaspoons candied almonds

Preparation

PEAR DESSERT

1 Peel the pears, slice in half and carefully remove any seeds by making a
hole from the bottom. Place the pears in a pan, cover with sugar, wine and cinnamon.
Rest the pears overnight.
2 The next day, cook over low heat until the pears soften. Carefully place pears
onto an oven sheet. Bake in a 350°F (180°C) preheated oven for 10 minutes.
3 Continue cooking the pear syrup until it thickens. Pour the syrup over the pears.
4 Serve with vanilla ice cream and candied almonds.
