Ingredients

4½ lbs (2 kg) peaches
4½ lbs (2 kg) granulated sugar
1 lemon (juiced)

Preparation

PEACH JAM

1 Wash, peel and slice the peaches, remove the pits. Place them in a
pan and cover with sugar. Rest the peaches in the sugar overnight.
2 The next day, add ½ of the lemon juice and boil for 4-5 minutes.
3 Bring to low heat and cook for 20 minutes more.
4 Test the jam by making small drops on a plate. To see whether they
make a perfectly round shape. If the drop does not lose its shape, it
means your jam is perfectly done.
5 Add the rest of the lemon juice, boil for a minute and take away
from the heat.
